EDWARD WOOD
KMAC CO-FOUNDER AND HEAD INSTRUCTOR
Edward Wood is the Co-Founder and Head Instructor for the Krav Maga Association of Canada. Ed brings with him over 35 years of Martial Arts Experience, 16 of those years have been exclusively dedicated to Krav Maga training. In addition, Ed is the very first Canadian to bring Krav Maga to Canada, making him known as Canada’s longest active Krav Maga Instructor.
Ed has personally certified a number of highly skilled Instructors to professionally teach Krav Maga. Many of whom are still actively teaching at KMAC’s 6 current locations. Due to the growing popularity and practicality of Krav Maga, Ed continues to develop Instructors that are held to the high standards & expectations set forth by the Association.
In addition to his contributions to the Krav Maga community, Ed is the former president of the Martial Arts consulting firm United Professionals and Ed currently serves on the board of advisers for Premier Martial Arts International.
Ed’s credentials & experience speaks for itself. Even more telling than his qualifications and credentials is his high skill level both as a Martial Arts practitioner and an Instructor. Any student or aspiring Instructor who is lucky enough to learn from Ed Wood is privileged to obtain firsthand knowledge from a true professional in every sense of the word. With a work ethic that comes second to none and a dedication to his students and Instructors, Ed continues to build the Krav Maga Association into a top quality organization that sets the standards for what world class Krav Maga should be.
STEVE MCCULLOCH
KMAC CO-FOUNDER AND CO-HEAD INSTRUCTOR
Steve McCulloch is the partnering Co-Founder and Co-Head Instructor for the Krav Maga Association of Canada. Steve currently owns and operates one of KMAC’s active training centres out of his Anytime Fitness Centre in Dundas Ontario. Along with KMAC Co-Founders Ed Wood and Consultant Ernie Kirk, Steve played a major role in the development of the KMAC Krav Maga Curriculum that is being offered to students and Instructors today.
Steve has roughly 28 years of Martial Arts experience as a student, competitor and Expert Level Instructor. Steve’s Martial Arts resume includes a wide variety of world class training ventures and accomplishments. Some of Steve’s most notable credentials include being a Black Belt in both Krav Maga and Karate, as well as a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Blue Belt and former competitor for the Canadian National Kickboxing Team.
In addition to Steve’s accomplishments in Martial Arts, as both a competitor and Instructor, he has a wealth of knowledge in the field of Martial Arts Management & is a Fitness Industry expert. Steve has been influential in developing some of KMAC’s most talented Instructors. An x-factor that Steve possesses is his understanding of applicable, real world self defense and how to successfully apply such techniques to ensure the safety of one’s self and others. Throughout his teaching career, Steve has spent many years working privately hired security jobs and has an abundance of real world experience. It is a combination of Steve’s practical knowledge, skills and professionalism that make Steve such a valuable resource for students & Instructors. PATRICK WU
KMAC LEAD INSTRUCTOR
Patrick’s reputation as one of KMAC most talented and knowledgeable Instructors is certainly well earned. Patrick currently services as Manager and Lead Instructor at KMAC National Headquarters, Wood’s Premier Martial Arts in Ancaster Ontario.
Patrick’s Martial Arts resume is well decorated and STILL expanding to this day. Some of Patrick’s career highlights include 3rd degree Karate Black Belt, Krav Maga Black Belt and KMAC Expert level Instructor. As a truly gifted Martial Artist and athlete, Patrick has also excelled at training ventures in BJJ, Kickboxing, Muay Thai and Yoga. Always on a never ending search for self improvement and growth, there is no limit to the skills and achievements that Patrick will attain in his Martial Arts career. He is the youngest of any KMAC expert level instructor! This is an achievement that Patrick is well respected for within the KMAC community.
Being a lifelong student of Martial Arts, who possesses 10 years of teaching experience and counting, Patrick provides as a wealth of knowledge that our students and instructors can access to improve themselves. Patrick puts an extremely high emphasis on teaching detail. He can expertly breakdown the finer teaching points of any self defense technique that is found in the KMC curriculum. Patrick can be found at all of the KMAC Instructor certification courses offering his knowledge and experience to aspiring and established instructors alike. He is an integral part of our certification team and we are extremely fortunate to have him serve as one of our expert level certification instructors.
